What is Nara?
Nara is my creative practice where I explore the intersection of food, design, and human experience. It’s the space where ideas become systems, rituals, and stories that move people.
Where are you based?
I’m currently based in Halifax, Canada - working with collaborators and clients across North America and abroad.
Who runs Nara?
It’s led by me, Sunpreet Singh - a chef, creative director, and executive focused on building meaningful, disciplined, and emotionally intelligent hospitality.
Work
What kind of projects do you take on?
Concept creation, culinary direction, menu architecture, brand and experience design, and creative systems for hospitality groups and lifestyle brands.
Do you consult for restaurants?
Yes. I work with both new and established venues - building frameworks that connect kitchen discipline with brand presence, guest psychology, and long-term sustainability.
Do you take on branding or design work?
Selective projects only - where food, identity, and philosophy meet. The work has to feel intentional.
